It was a great day for LSU football recruiting as far as the class of 2024 goes. The Tigers signed all 27 of their 27 commitments to get the Early Signing Period off to a hot start and they might not be done. Four-star offensive lineman Coen Echols, who is expected to sign on Friday is now trending to the purple and gold.

Signing 27 recruits in one recruiting cycle is an impressive feat in itself. Entering and exiting the Early Signing Period without any decommitments or flips is even more notable though.

For coach Brian Kelly and the Tigers, that is exactly what happened today and it bodes incredibly well for the future of LSU football. There’s a culture in Baton Rouge that top players want to be a part of, and it’s beginning to rub off on some of the remaining unsigned recruits.

One such recruit is class of 2024 four-star offensive lineman Coen Echols, who recently decommitted from Texas A&M and is now trending to land himself with the purple and gold.

After landing 27 signees today, the good news continued for coach Brian Kelly and the Tigers. This evening, Mike Roach, Steve Wiltfong, Bryce Koon and Christian Clemente of 247Sports released crystal ball predictions for the Katy, TX native, all of which are in favor of the purple and gold.

Standing at 6-foot-4, 290 pounds, Echols is one of the best trench players in the class of 2024. According to 247Sports, he ranks No. 151 nationally and No. 6 among inside offensive linemen.

This would be a big-time commitment, and the sixth offensive lineman to join LSU heading into the 2024 season. Keep an eye out for this recruitment as we could be getting an answer as soon as Friday to end the Early Signing Period.
