LSU football recruiting offers class of 2026 linebacker Thomas Davis Jr
The LSU football recruiting defensive coaching staff has been on a roll of late and are currently showing no signs of slowing down. While the majority of positive momentum has been coming from the class of 2025, theyâre putting together some serious moves at making a run in the class of 2026.
Lately, theyâve been offering and making pushes for some of the best players in the country, and it already appears to be paying off. Most recently, the Tigers went ahead and offered linebacker Thomas Davis Jr, a top-100 recruit and the son of former NFL All-Pro linebacker Thomas Davis.
Davis Jr, a product out of Matthews, NC, rates as a four-star recruit and the No. 82 player nationally, according to 247Sports. Furthermore, he currently sits as the No. 7 player in North Carolina and No. 3 at his position.
As a freshman in 2022, the 6-foot-2, 205-pound Weddington High School standout recorded 31 tackles and two tackles for loss in 14 appearances.
While technically in ACC territory, he has plenty of SEC connections already. His dad was not only born in Georgia, but ended up being a first round linebacker after a three year college football career with the Georgia Bulldogs.
Not only was Thomas Davis Sr a standout at Georgia in the early 2000s, but he would put together a 16-year NFL career, which featured an All-Pro season in 2015, as well as multiple Pro Bowl appearances.
With Davis Jr now working towards a football career of his own, heâs already beginning to garner interest from some of the top programs in college football. Among his many offers are Georgia Tech, Miami, NC State, North Carolina, Tennessee and USC to go along with LSU being one of his most recent.
