Coach Brian Kelly could be cooking up some magic with this LSU football recruiting class of 2025. The Tigers are in contention for several top recruits and are one of three programs being considered by Louisiana running back Harlem Berry.

Keeping elite recruits close to home is often easier said than done. This becomes even more true when some of their top choices include programs such as Texas and Florida.

However, with the way coach Brian Kelly has his offense moving, things could get easier on the recruiting trail. For the class of 2025, the Tigers most certainly hope this ends up being the case.

LSU football recruiting is in top contention for several big-time offensive recruits, several of whom are already nice and close to home.

One of the said recruits is Louisiana running back and top LSU football recruiting target Harlem Berry. Earlier today, he announced that he’ll be making his final college decision this coming month.

While it’s still early in the recruiting cycle, few running backs compare to the talent St. Martin’s Episcopal School has claim to in class of 2025 Harlem Berry.

The Metairie, LA, native ranks among the best, coming in at No. 23, according to the 247 Sports Composite. Not only that, but he also sits as the No. 1 running back and No. 1 player in Louisiana for the entire class.

Landing a commitment from a player of that caliber is significant, no matter the circumstances. Still, for LSU football recruiting, it could be bigger than most realize.

The Tigers last landed a commitment from the No. 1 player in the state in the class of 2021 when defensive tackle Maason Smith decided to stay home. If coach Brian Kelly can find a way to stop the streak, it would be big, not only for the current state of LSU football, but also for the future.
