One of the best prospects in high school football, Ondre Evans, released his top schools this afternoon. Among them was none other than LSU football. With him ranked a top cornerback in the class of 2024, there’s little doubt the Tigers would be thrilled to earn his commitment.

Class of 2024 cornerback Ondre Evans puts LSU football in his top five

Ondre Evans, a four-star cornerback in the class of 2024, is one of the top prospects in high school football. Naturally, with talent like his, he’s being targeted by some of the best college football programs.

Along with LSU football, Evans is considering Michigan, Alabama, Georgia and NC State. Aside from NC State, these are all some of the top programs in the country in today’s college football.

The No. 84 player in the class of 2024, according to ON3, Evans has elite talent on the football field. He’s also ranked as the No. 12 cornerback in the country, a position coach Brian Kelly would love to get a top commitment in.

Evans is highly sought-after throughout the United States

There’s one major tell to see which players are elite when it comes to college football recruiting. Has Nick Saban offered him? Has Kirby Smart offered him? The best recruits in the country always have an offer from the best teams.

That’s why it’s so notable that schools like Alabama, Georgia and Michigan are recruiting cornerback Ondre Evans. They wouldn’t be recruiting him if he weren’t worth it.

The good news for LSU football with this specific recruitment is that the Tigers are a major contender. According to ON3, the purple and gold have a 40.6 percent chance of gaining his commitment.

The only other program with better odds right now is NC State, which has a 54.0 percent chance.

It’s still early in the recruiting cycle, but Ondre Evans is a name to keep on. He’s only visited Baton Rouge once, so Brian Kelly should be looking to get him back on campus soon.
