And so the purple and gold continue to roll. In the midst of the Tigersā€™ final spring practice of the 2024 offseason, LSU football landed their second blue chip running back commitment in the class of 2025, as JT Lindsey has made the decision to stay in-state.

When it rains, it pours, and for coach Brian Kelly and the LSU football program, theyā€™re currently experiencing an absolute storm of elite class of 2025 recruits rushing to Baton Rouge.

Already, the Tigers had one of the best offensive recruiting classes in the entire cycle, highlighted by commitments from five-star quarterback Bryce Underwood, five-star wide receiver Dakorien Moore, five-star running back Harlem Berry and high four-star offensive lineman Tyler Morris. Who wouldā€™ve guessed it would just continue to get better?

Earlier today, just ahead of the 2024 LSU football spring game, the purple and gold landed yet another four-star commitment, as JT Lindsey will join the program as a part of the 2025 recruiting cycle.

Rated as a four-star recruit out of Alexandria, LA, Lindsey ranks among the very best in the nation, sitting at No. 143 overall, according to On3, as well as No. 11 at his position.

Not only is he one of the best football players in-state, but heā€™s a star on the track as well. As a junior this past March, the 5-foot-11, 185-pound running back showed off some impressive speed, clocking a 10.96-second 100-meter at the Tabasco Relays in New Iberia, LA.

His speed shows up on the field as well, allowing him to run past defenders with relative ease once he gets into the open field. During the 2023 season, he continued to show significant improvement, running the ball for 1,729 yards and an eye-popping 26 touchdowns.

Heā€™ll join fellow blue chip running back Harlem Berry as a part of the LSU football class of 2025. Together, the duo has the potential to become one of the best backfields in college football in the not too distant future.

The Tigers now have 12 total commitments in the cycle, all of which are rated as a four-star recruit or better. With the most recent pledge, the group has jumped up significantly in the national rankings, now sitting at No. 1 in the SEC and No. 2 overall.
