It’s been a tough two days for LSU football recruiting over the last two days. Yesterday, the Tigers lost big-time class of 2024 wide receiver Joseph Stone Jr. Today, defensive back recruit Ondre Evans has officially flipped his commitment to Georgia.

Big-time defensive back recruit flips commitment from LSU football to Georgia

Oh, how the rich get richer.

Heading into today, the Georgia Bulldogs had claim to the No. 1 recruiting class in the country with 26 commitments in total. Now, their class has become even stronger as four-star class of 2024 defensive back recruit Ondre Evans has flipped his commitment from LSU football to Georgia.

Evans ranks as one of the top cornerbacks in the country, sitting at No. 106 nationally and No. 10 at his position, according to 247 Sports.

Evans had been committed to LSU football for quite some time, initially announcing his commitment on June 15, 2023.

However, with his flipped commitment, the Tigers now sit with 23 remaining players in their class of 2024. It’s important to mention that coach Brian Kelly and his team are still standing tall at defensive back recruiting as a whole.

They still have three committed cornerbacks, including four-stars Cai Bates and Ju’Juan Johnson. Still, you never want to lose a four-star commitment, especially when they flip over to an in-conference foe.
