Coach Jay Johnson is prepping to build a dynasty with the Tigers. Today, LSU baseball recruiting landed another top-5 recruit as class of 2025 outfielder Dean Moss flipped his commitment from SEC foe Vanderbilt.
Class of 2025 outfielder Dean Moss flips commitment to LSU baseball recruiting
Not too long ago, the Tigers landed a commitment from the No. 2 recruit in the class of 2025, infielder Quentin Young. For most programs, one top-5 recruit would be more than satisfactory, but for the reigning national champions, they werenât done yet.
Today, LSU baseball recruiting landed yet another, as the No. 4 recruit, Dean Moss, flipped his commitment from SEC foe Vanderbilt to the Tigers.
Moss, a 6-foot, 175-pound outfielder, is an athlete through and through. With a rare combination of speed and power, the California native is a tough out for any pitcher he faces.
As good as it likely feels to land a commitment like his, it feels even better to flip him over from SEC rival Vanderbilt. The Commodores have consistently been one of the best programs in college baseball for years now, so to steal a recruit from them is no small feat.
With the addition of Dean Moss, the Tigers now have 15 commitments in the class of 2025, including two top-10 recruits.
