The LSU class of 2026 is coming together much faster than many anticipated, as for the second day in a row, the Tigers have officially landed a Louisiana-based commitment, with talented athlete Jakai Anderson electing to stay in-state for his future school.

And just like that, yet another domino has fallen. After just landing their first commitment of the entire 2026 recruiting cycle yesterday, the Tigers have now landed two in as many days, with three-star Louisiana-based athlete Jakai Anderson electing to join the LSU class of 2026.

Listed as a 6-foot-1, 168-pound recruit out of New Orleans, LA, Anderson has the kind of speed and athleticism that could have him projected as either a wide receiver or safety at the next level.

Having played both sides of the ball, his hands are solid, but it’s his elusiveness that makes him so dangerous as a ball carrier, consistently showing a knack for being able to quite literally slip away from opposing defenders.

As we stand incredibly early in his recruitment, Anderson ranks among the very best players in Louisiana, sitting at No. 454 nationally and No. 15 in-state, according to the 247Sports Composite.

With the talented athlete officially being on board with the Tigers, he has now joined class of 2025 four-star offensive lineman Carius Curne, class of 2026 defensive lineman Richard Anderson and class of 2025 four-star edge rusher La Jesse Harrold as one of the four recruits to have announced their commitment to the purple and gold in just the last three days.

He is the second recruit to join the 2026 group overall, with LSU now sitting at No. 11 nationally in that cycle.
