LSU football players are ready to step up to the podium

There’s plenty of buzz surrounding the LSU football program heading into 2023. It’s no longer Brian Kelly’s first season with the program, and expectations are rapidly climbing.

The Tigers made the SEC Championship game in 2022 and found their way to a 10-4 record. Now, it’s a matter of how much better they can be heading into 2023. Representing the team will be coach Brian Kelly and LSU football players quarterback Jayden Daniels, running back Josh Williams and defensive tackle Mekhi Wingo.

With the Tigers set to answer questions first, plenty will be talked about regarding expectations. They’ve largely avoided issues off the field so far in the 2023 offseason, so fans can look forward to plenty of football talk.

How high can this Tiger team go? What are their chances at an SEC Championship? How do all the new pieces in the defensive secondary fit together? Is special teams going to take a step forward in 2023?

Those are just some of the many discussions that will take place today. Ultimately, coach Brian Kelly will have incredibly high expectations heading into 2023. In turn, the team has high expectations, and plenty of it will rest on the leaders of the squad. Those leaders are platers like Jayden Daniels, Josh Williams and Mekhi Wingo, who will speak on those expectations this afternoon.

SEC Media Days will begin in Nashville at 11:35 a.m. CST. After the initial appearance from Commissioner Greg Sankey, LSU football is up first. Tiger fans, get ready because you’ll hear from your head coach very shortly.
