The LSU football transfer portal class of 2025 is finally beginning to find some positive momentum, and it doesn’t appear to be slowing down any time soon, as star Kentucky wide receiver Barion Brown has been predicted to land with the purple and gold.

LSU football predicted by multiple experts to land commitment from transfer portal wide receiver Barion Brown

It might have taken a little longer than some fans were hoping, but things are finally starting to fall into place for the LSU football transfer portal class of 2025. For the second time in the last two days, the Tigers have officially landed a portal pledge, as Florida cornerback Ja’Keem Jackson has joined Oklahoma tight end Bauer Sharp as the two commitments thus far.

Now, as we slowly learn more about the players currently in the portal and where they’re looking, it’s becoming more and more clear that this is only just the start for Brian Kelly and his 2025 portal group.

As a matter of fact, one of the very best players available is already starting to trend towards the purple and gold, as recruiting experts Steve Wiltfong, Pete Nakos and Shea Dixon – all of On3 – have officially predicted that former Kentucky wide receiver Barion Brown will ultimately land in Baton Rouge when things come to a close later this month.

Brown, a 6-foot-1, 182-pound speed demon out of Nashville, TN, is officially rated as a four-star transfer, and the No. 15 overall player currently in the portal, according to the 247Sports Transfer Rankings.

A three-year starter for the Wildcats, Brown has widely been respected as one of the top pass catchers in the SEC for years now, and it’s for good reason. Having logged a total of 122 receptions for 1,528 yards and 11 touchdowns, the speedy veteran will officially leave Kentucky as a top-10 receiving yards leader in program history.

While nothing’s official until pen hits paper, adding a player of Brown’s caliber is certainly an exciting prospect for a Tiger passing game that could see some major improvement heading into the 2025 season. As of right now, the expected leaders of the room are Chris Hilton Jr, Aaron Anderson and Zavion Thomas, and while none of those players have exactly broken out as game changing stars, they all bring elite speed to the table. Bringing Barion Brown into the mix almost feels unfair.

The LSU football transfer portal class of 2025 is officially up to two incoming players thus far, and is likely to bring in double-digit new-additions by the time December comes to a close. As of right now, it’s expected that at least two of those double-digit players will be wide receivers, so keep an eye on Brown, as he looks to potentially become one of those two in the not too distant future.
