When it comes to recruiting the class of 2025, few programs have been anywhere near as efficient as that of coach Brian Kelly and LSU. Now, having landed the No. 1 player overall on Saturday, they’ll host four-star wide receiver Jacorey Watson for a late January visit.

Is there such thing as too many weapons in one recruiting class? Maybe, but don’t tell coach Brian Kelly. Out of eight commitments for the Tigers in the class of 2025, six are on the offensive side of the ball, and four are ranked within the top-250 players nationally.

As impressive as that might be, it’s notable to mention that three of said players are ranked No. 1 in their respective position group, including wide receiver Dakorien Moore, running back Harlem Berry and most recently quarterback Bryce Underwood.

However, the purple and gold clearly aren’t satisfied yet, as they have their sights set on several other big-time recruits, including that of four-star wide receiver Jacorey Watson, who will reportedly take a visit to Baton Rouge later this month on January 27.

With this upcoming visit, it will be his sixth time making a trip to Baton Rouge, having been on campus five times over the last two years.

Watson, a Pearland, TX, product ranks as the No. 25 wide receiver nationally, as well as the No. 200 player overall, according to On3.

Standing at 5-foot-10, 175 pounds, he’s not your prototypical red zone threat, but he is the kind of player that will run right past you. As a freshman in 2022, the speedster achieved a 100-meter dash time of 11.48 seconds.

Along with the Tigers, in-state Texas remains one of his top schools, and he will visit Austin a week prior on January 20. As coach Brian Kelly looks to continue their recent positive momentum, this could be a recruitment to keep an eye on.
