- OUT: Redshirt sophomore WR Chris Hilton Jr
- OUT: Freshman CB Ashton Stamps
When it comes to LSU football, they’ve stayed largely healthy thus far in 2023. According to coach Brian Kelly, this trend should continue into week seven, as just two players will be out for the Tigers.
Earlier this week, Kelly was asked about the injury report and had some fantastic news, as three players ended up being out just one week ago. At the time, he outlined just one player as being out for today’s game of LSU football vs. Auburn.
“Chris Hilton is the only guy that is not gonna play. Everybody else has moved from the questionable, probable, whatever else we had there; they’re all in.”
Since then, however, it appears that something may have happened in practice, as freshman cornerback Ashton Stamps will be out for today’s game in addition to wide receiver Chris Hilton Jr.
While it’s never ideal to have anyone out with injury, the 2023 version of the Tigers have plenty of players capable of stepping in at both wide receiver and cornerback.
Coach Brian Kelly’s squad sits as a -10.5 favorite vs. Auburn. Additionally, the over/under sits somewhere around 60.5, according to Vegas Insider.
You can watch LSU football vs. Auburn live tonight at 6:00 p.m. CST on ESPN. The game will take place in Baton Rouge, LA, in Tiger Stadium, as the Tigers host their third game of the year.
