For most of his career,Ā former LSU football cornerbackĀ Treā€™Davious White has been more than reliable for whatever team heā€™s played for, either in college or the NFL. However, as of Sunday, heā€™s officially suffered his second season-ending injury in the last three seasons.

Since being drafted by the Buffalo Bills in 2017, former LSU football cornerback Treā€™Davious White has been lights out.

Through his seven seasons with the franchise, heā€™s recordedĀ 311 tackles, 68 passes defended and 18 interceptions. However, over the last few seasons, itā€™s been hard for him to stay on the field.

He suffered the first major injury of his NFL career in 2021 when he tore his ACL on Thanksgiving vs. the Saints. He returned to the field a little over a year later, but as of Sunday, is officially out again after tearing his right Achilles.

White has been with the Buffalo Bills since the start of the Sean McDermott era when he was picked up with theirĀ first draft pickĀ in 2017. Heā€™s widely viewed as a leader and one of the best players on their defense.

ā€œWeā€™re going to do our best to support Tre and his family,ā€Ā Bills head coach Sean McDermott said.Ā ā€œI had a chance to visit with him yesterday after the game and just obviously, it was not an easy time and it isnā€™t going to be an easy time for him right now, and heā€™s got a challenge in front of him, but heā€™s overcome challenges before and Iā€™m confident that he will overcome this challenge as well and thatā€™s what Tre White does.ā€

White is one of the best defensive backs in Tiger history

When thinking aboutĀ ā€œDBUā€Ā and LSU football, itā€™s only natural for Treā€™Davious White to come to mind. His stats speak for themself, having totaled 167 tackles, 14 passes defended and six tackles through four seasons with the Tigers.

Additionally, he consistently played at a top-tier level in the SEC, being named to an All-SEC team three out of his four seasons.

However, he wasnā€™t only elite as a cornerback. He was also a stellar returner, totaling 688 yards and three touchdowns on punt returns.

Treā€™Davious White has always been an all-time great kind of player, whether in college or the NFL. With his future up in the air, thereā€™s no doubt both Tiger Nation and Bills Mafia will be hoping to see him back on the field soon.
