After most recently taking several official visits throughout the month of June, former LSU football commitment and elite class of 2025 wide receiver Dakorien Moore is set to make his final college decision later today.

When former LSU football commitment and top class of 2025 wide receiver Dakorien Moore announced that he was opening his recruitment back up in May, it pretty quickly sent shockwaves throughout the world of college football recruiting.

Interestingly enough, though, it also wasn’t all that surprising. Having first pledged himself to the purple and gold prior to the 2023 college football season, the five-star pass catcher wasn’t exactly shy about continuing his recruitment the whole way through, taking several visits to other programs.

Now, not even two full months following his decommitment from coach Brian Kelly’s program, it appears that he’s ready to redo his college decision, choosing between LSU, Ohio State, Oregon and Texas later this evening, July 4, 2024, at 8:00 p.m. CST.

Rated as a five-star recruit and the No. 3 player nationally, according to On3, as well as No. 1 among fellow wide receivers, Moore is about as highly sought-after a player as you’ll find in the entire class of 2025.

Standing at 5-foot-11, 186 pounds, he doesn’t necessarily have elite size, but what he does have is game changing speed and a boatload of offers on the table. Having received interest from Alabama, Georgia, Michigan, Oklahoman and USC, along with many others, he truly has his pick of the lot.

Since decommitting from the purple and gold, the Duncanville, TX, product has taken official visits to each of his remaining finalists, giving every school a fighting chance for a last second pitch. As we stand today, Texas looks like the early favorite to receive his commitment, but with all four programs having laid out the red carpet in this recruitment, there’s truly no telling which direction it will ultimately go.
