Official visits can be game-changing in the world of college football recruiting. One team might hold the lead for most of a playerā€™s recruitment, but one really good official visit to another team can change everything. Thatā€™s why itā€™s so crucial that five-star class of 2024 cornerback, Kobe Black, will visit LSU football twice this summer.

Five-star cornerback Kobe Black will visit Baton Rouge twice this summer

Well, this was a pleasant surprise! Five-star Kobe Black is one of the best cornerbacks in the class of 2024. On Thursday, it was announced that he would visit Baton Rouge twice this summer.

This is huge, as up to this point, LSU football has yet to be viewed as too strong a contender for him. Now, things might be turning in the Tigersā€™ favor.

According to 247Sports, Black is the No. 23 player nationally and the No. 3 cornerback. Heā€™s also ranked as the No. 5 player out of Texas, a state which has dominated high school football for generations.

Speaking of domination, I canā€™t imagine a better word to describe how Kobe Black plays football. While heā€™s widely known as a cornerback, heā€™s also stellar on offense.

When he gets the ball in his hands, heā€™s nearly impossible to stop. Along with that, the combination of strength to break tackles and speed that he possesses is electric. Heā€™s even been clocked at more than 20 mph consistently, showing just how fast he is in the open field.

If coach Brian Kelly manages to pick up his commitment, it would be perfect for the Tigers. They would get an electric playmaker on defense, and he could even provide some snaps on offense if need be.

The visit schedule

According to ON3, class of 2024 cornerback Kobe Black is set to visit the Tigers on July 28 and September 9. As far as his schedule is concerned, these will be back-to-back visits for him.

With the five-star standout visiting twice, the Tigers have an exceptional opportunity to make an impression. Not only that, but heā€™s visiting at two very different points of the academic calendar.

For his visit in late July, heā€™ll have the opportunity to appreciate the campus for what it is. It wonā€™t be overrun by students, but instead, he can get a feel for the campus as a whole and enjoy the coaching staff.

His September 9 visit will have a very different energy. College students will be everywhere, and heā€™ll be on campus for the Tigersā€™ night game versus Grambling State.

Few college gameday atmospheres compare to a night game at Tiger Stadium, so heā€™s in for a show that weekend. The only way things can get much better for the Tigers is if he finds a way to visit for a conference game.

Otherwise, coach Brian Kelly and LSU football have been gifted with a golden opportunity here. If the Tigers can impress, they could pick up one of the best all-around talents in the class of 2024.
