If there was any position in which the LSU football recruiting class of 2024 was lacking, it was along the offensive line. However, that’s all come to an end, as the Tigers flip five-star offensive tackle Weston Davis from Texas A&M.
LSU football recruiting lands flip commitment from five-star offensive tackle Weston Davis
Under coach Brian Kelly, there’s no doubt that offensive line is a priority. That showed last season with the additions of Will Campbell and Emery Jones Jr, as well as this season with Zalance Heard.
This should continue well into the future, as class of 2024 five-star offensive tackle Weston Davis announces his flip commitment from Texas A&M.
According to On3, Weston Davis is one of the top players in the country. He ranks No. 18 nationally, No. 3 as an offensive tackle and No. 4 in Texas.
The 6-foot-5, 275-pound offensive tackle out of Beaumont, TX, has quickly become one of the Tigers’ top commitments in the entire class of 2024.
Prior to his flip to LSU football recruiting, Davis had been committed to Texas A&M for more than five months. He initially committed to the Aggies on June 26 but as of today, he’s ready to make his way to Baton Rouge to join the Tigers’ class of 2024.
Davis has visited Baton Rouge twice, including an unofficial trip in late September.
With the commitment of the stud five-star, coach Brian Kelly now has five commitments from offensive linemen, giving them a complete group heading into November.
