When it comes to LSU women’s basketball under coach Kim Mulkey, greatness has come to be expected. For future LSU women’s basketball point guard Jada Richard, she’s well aware of the expectations. Luckily for all parties involved, she’s also played at that level, as the top 100 class of 2024 recruit has been elite for her EYBL team, Louisiana United.

LSU women’s basketball point guard commit Jada Richard is going to be special

It didn’t take long following the national championship for future LSU women’s basketball point guard Jada Richard to announce her commitment to the program. In fact, she made her final decision just four days following the Tigers’ victory.

Richard is one of the top point guards in the entire class of 2024. Not only that, but she’s the No. 1 commitment for LSU women’s basketball in the class.

According to ESPN, she ranks as a four-star recruit and the No. 87 player nationally. Furthermore, she is the top recruit out of Louisiana for her class.

Richard has been showing out at the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League (EYBL)

Being ranked top-100 in your class is nothing to shake a stick at. She’s one of the best recruits in the country and possibly the best in her state. Still, when you watch her play the game of basketball, it’s clear she isn’t satisfied with her current rating.

This spring/summer, she’s been playing with the Louisiana United Basketball Club. As a part of the club, she’s been playing at an elite level against some of the best competition in women’s basketball.

The class of 2024 point guard not only has elite ability, but she has the confidence and ability to lead, which should have fans of the program excited.

With coach Kim Mulkey finding a way to keep Richard in the Boot, the Tigers got a good one. If LSU women’s basketball can keep up this level of recruiting, the Tigers will be in fantastic shape for the class of 2024.
