One of the best players in the entire class of 2025 resides in the Boot. Five-star cornerback LSU football target Jaboree Antoine is from New Iberia, LA, but will be taking a trip to Baton Rouge very shortly. On his Twitter, the stud corner announced that he would attend the annual “Bayou Splash” event hosted by LSU later this month.
LSU football will host five-star cornerback target Jaboree Antoine at the annual “Bayou Splash”
The biggest recruiting weekend of the year is rapidly approaching for LSU football. The annual “Bayou Splash” is consistently a fantastic recruiting opportunity for the Tigers. Furthermore, it’s an excellent opportunity for current commits to give their pitches to possible future commits.
Now, one of the top recruits in the state, regardless of class, will be on campus for the event. Five-star class of 2025 cornerback Jaboree Antoine announced he’d be in Baton Rouge that weekend.
This is a fantastic opportunity for coach Brian Kelly and the entire LSU football program. Antoine has already visited campus several times and will likely make more trips in the future.
Antoine already has a teammate committed to play for LSU football
One of the greatest recruiting pitches is having other players wanting to play for your program. Talent attracts talent, and LSU football has excelled in that department over the years.
It’s also notable when a teammate is already committed to a specific program. For Jaboree Antoine, this is precisely the case, as defensive lineman De’Myrion Johnson is committed to the Tigers’ class of 2024.
Johnson is rated as a three-star recruit, according to the 247 Sports Composite, and a top 15 player in the state.
Assuming Johnson stays committed to the program, a big freshman season from him could go a long way with the recruitment of Antoine. Even if he seems to enjoy himself while showing significant improvement with the team, it would leave an impression.
The New Iberia products could be a fantastic duo to watch together in the purple and gold. Plenty of time remains until this could become a reality, but it’s always fun to imagine. In the meantime, stay tuned, as Antoine and Johnson will both make their way to Baton Rouge before the end of the month.
