According to the Phoenix Police Department, officers were dispatched just before 4:00 a.m. to a home near 36th Street and Thomas Road after receiving reports of a shooting.
Investigators said an unknown individual forcibly entered the residence before opening fire on a man who was inside the home. The shooting occurred within the residence, leaving the victim critically injured.

Victim Pronounced Dead at the Scene
When first responders arrived, they found the male victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
