Coach Brian Kelly could have the best offensive line in the country in 2023. As great as that is, it means little to nothing for the future. That’s why recruiting the position is so important. As things stand, the Tigers are in good shape as class of 2024 four-star offensive tackle Ethan Calloway received a crystal ball prediction to LSU football.
Four-star offensive tackle Ethan Calloway receives crystal ball to LSU football
LSU football received some fantastic news Monday evening. The Tigers only have one offensive lineman committed to their class of 2024, so it is certainly a position group to watch.
Luckily, some pieces are beginning to fall into place. Recently, LSU football has been gaining ground on some elite talent in the trenches, and that momentum has continued moving forward early this week.
On Monday evening, Steve Wiltfong of 247 Sports made a prediction in the Tigers’ favor. He gave four-star class of 2024 offensive tackle Ethan Calloway a crystal ball to LSU football.
When Steve Wiltfong of 247 Sports makes a prediction, it’s generally a good idea to listen. So far, for the class of 2024, Wiltfong has been correct in his predictions 91.50 percent of the time.
For Tigers fans, this is excellent news. Calloway is an elite talent that would immediately improve the LSU football recruiting class of 2024. He’s listed as the No. 210 player nationally, according to the 247 Sports Composite, as well as the No. 20 offensive tackle.
Calloway seemed to enjoy his visit over the weekend
One of the most important aspects of any recruitment is the visit. Luckily coach Brian Kelly seems to understand that and always makes sure to roll out the red carpet for his recruits.
Over the weekend, Calloway visited Baton Rouge and seemed to have a fantastic time. His mom took to Twitter to share some of their photos from the weekend.
If Brian Kelly can find a way to seal the deal with this recruitment, they’ll be in great shape going forward. Ideally, you want at least five offensive linemen to be a part of each class. Not only would this be their second, but he’d be an elite piece of what is already shaping up to be a top recruiting class in the country.
