Itās been a good week forĀ LSU footballĀ when it comes toĀ recruitingĀ wide receivers. On Wednesday, the Tigers received a commitment from three-star receiver Kylan Billiot. Now, class of 2024 wide receiver Joseph Stone is enjoying himself in Baton Rouge for his official visit.
Class of 2024 wide receiver Joseph Stone solidifying commitment to LSU football with official visit
Few have been as dedicated to LSU football as Joseph Stone has in the class of 2024. TheĀ four-star wideĀ receiver has been committed to the Tigers since June 2022.
However, despite this long-term commitment, many fans had some fear earlier this month about how committed he truly was. He took two official visits in early June to UCF on June 2 and Louisville on June 9.
Stone was even scheduled to visit Texas this weekend before experiencing a change of heart. He elected to visit Baton Rouge instead with the intention of shutting down his recruitment.
Despite the decision to take his official visit to LSU football this weekend, many fans still had their doubts. After all, he just took official visits to two other schools a matter of weeks ago.
To shut down any remaining doubts, Joseph Stoneās mother, Empress Stone, took to Twitter.
For LSU fans, this is fantastic news. Not only does coach Brian Kelly have an opportunity to seal the deal this week, but all signs point to Joseph Stone staying true to his commitment to the Tigers.
Stone appears to be enjoying himself so far
As great as it is that LSU football was able to get Joseph Stone back on campus, it doesnāt mean much if he doesnāt enjoy himself. Luckily, it seems like heās having a good time so far.
Itās very early in the class of 2024 recruiting cycle. Still, things are looking good for Joseph Stone to make his way to Baton Rouge in a year or so.
With his solidifying commitment to LSU football, Tiger fans can take a deep breath as their fears have been alleviated.
If Joseph Stone stays true to his commitment, the Tigers are gaining a shifty receiver capable of taking a screen to the house as well as snagging a deep ball down the field.
