After entering the spring transfer portal earlier this week, it sounds as though former LSU wide receiver Khai Prean might end up staying in-state for his next destination. Yesterday, April 18, it was reported that the Louisiana product will be visiting Tulane for their spring game this coming Saturday.

It hasn’t even been three days, and a favorite has already emerged for one of coach Brian Kelly’s most recent transfer portal losses. After entering the spring window with a “no contact” tag, this was already shaping up to be a fairly speedy decision timeline, but yesterday’s reports only further confirmed this.

According to Matt Zenitz of 247Sports, former LSU wide receiver Khai Prean is set to take a visit to in-state Tulane on Saturday and will likely be attending their spring game in the process.

Prean first joined the purple and gold in 2023 as a four-star wide receiver recruit out of Saint James, LA. While the speedy pass catcher failed to log any game action this past season, it’s important to note that he has the potential to make a pretty significant impact at the college level.

Having ran track in high school, he can outrun just about anyone on opposing defenses and most recently put together a solid spring game, taking a deep pass via freshman quarterback Colin Hurley all the way to the endzone late in the 4th quarter.

The spring transfer portal window initially opened on April 16, and will come to a close on April 30. Still, if these past few days have been any indication, it’d be safe to assume that we won’t be waiting all 11 days to get a final decision from the rising sophomore.
