Having just experienced one big recruiting weekend, the Tigers are now heading into yet another. Over the coming days, elite class of 2025 offensive lineman Micah DeBose is making his way to Baton Rouge for a visit with LSU football recruiting.
LSU football recruiting to host major class of 2025 offensive lineman Micah DeBose
If you want to compete against the best, you’re going to need to recruit the very best, and the Tiger coaching staff is well aware of this. Already, the program is set to bring in a second-straight top-10 recruiting class, with the potential of bringing another in 2025.
Looking ahead to the upcoming cycle, LSU football recruiting has three No. 1 positional players committed, with several others trending towards Baton Rouge. While you can’t exactly expect to get every top player, it’s becoming abundantly clear that coach Brian Kelly is at least going to do everything he can to make it happen.
After hosting No. 1 safety DJ Pickett this past week, the purple and gold are now set to host the No. 1 inside offensive lineman in the class of 2025, Micah DeBose.
DeBose is a big-time recruit out of Mobile, AL, who has just about everyone knocking at his door. Notably, he was previously a Georgia commit, but recently decommitted in late December to reopen his recruitment.
Ranking as the No. 38 player nationally, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, he rates as a four-star recruit, but has shown the potential to rise even higher over the next year or so.
Standing at 6-foot-4, 290 pounds, he’s not the biggest lineman in the class, but even so, his power is spectacular. More often than not, if he’s matched up against you, you’re going to end up on the ground.
As things stand, the teams to watch include in-state Alabama and Auburn, as well as Georgia, having previously been committed there for almost one full calendar year. Still, if the Tigers make a good impression, don’t be surprised to see the purple and gold make a strong push for the talented offensive lineman.
