This weekend is setting up to be big for coach Brian and the Tigers in many ways. On the one hand, the team lost decisively last week to Florida State and is looking to make up for it versus Grambling State. While this will likely take the bulk of attention for Tiger fans, it’s also notable that five-star class of 2025 cornerback Jaboree Antoine is set to visit LSU football this weekend.

Five-star class of 2025 cornerback Jaboree Antoine will be in Baton Rouge this weekend

Not too long ago, LSU football lost out on the No. 1 player in Louisiana for the class of 2024. Dominick McKinley, a five-star recruit out of Lafayette, recently committed to play for Texas A&M.

As if that weren’t enough, this happened in the class of 2023, as the No. 1 player in the state – and the country – Arch Manning committed to Texas.

Looking ahead to the class of 2025, five-star cornerback Jaboree Antoine ranks as the No. 1 player in the state. The New Iberia recruit is also the No. 26 recruit nationally, according to the 247 Sports Composite, and will be in Baton Rouge this weekend.

By getting this elite talent on campus for the LSU football matchup with Grambling State, it does a few things. First, it shows the Tigers haven’t missed a step on the recruiting trail following last week’s loss. Additionally, it shows that coach Brian Kelly’s squad is still in good standing with the elite cornerback recruit.

The 6-foot-1, 175-pound has some of the best pure ability in the entire state, regardless of class. If the Tigers can find a way to land a commitment from him in the near future, it would be significant for their class of 2025.

LSU football recruiting already has four commits for the class, including five-star wide receiver Dakorien Moore. Adding Jaboree Antoine would be an electric start to what could be an all-time-level class for the Tigers.
