College football is right around the corner, meaning high school football is also upon us. Several LSU football recruiting commits had their high school season openers yesterday and performed at an elite level. Namely, Duncanville teammates class of 2024 Caden Durham and class of 2025 Dakorien Moore put up big numbers.
LSU football recruiting: class of 2024 running back Caden Durham showed off his top-end speed
One of the biggest wins of the offseason for LSU football recruiting was the commitment of running back Caden Durham. The class of 2024 star had Oklahoma and Texas A&M among his top choices, but ultimately, he’s a Tiger.
Yesterday, Duncanville had its season opener, and unsurprisingly, running back Caden Durham was one of the stars of the show.
He was highly productive, going to show just how underrated he is. According to 247Sports, Durham is the No. 173 player nationally and the No. 12 running back.
He totaled 11 carries for 108 yards and one touchdown. If he continues to put out performances like this, expect him to continue to rise in the rankings throughout the season.
The future of “WRU” is in good hands with class of 2025 wide receiver Dakorien Moore
Shortly after the commitment of class of 2024 running back Caden Durham, class of 2025 wide receiver Dakorien Moore decided to join the party. In somewhat of a surprising commitment, the five-star recruit announced his commitment to the Tigers over schools like Oregon and Texas.
However, before he can start shining for the Tigers, he’ll spend some time dominating the high school ranks.
It seemed like every single time the five-star wide receiver touched the ball, he was taking it for a long touchdown. On the day, he recorded seven receptions for 281 yards and three touchdowns.
Moore is listed as the No. 5 overall player in the class of 2025. He also ranks as the No. 2 wide receiver and No. 1 in Texas.
Tiger fans still have plenty of time until they get to watch these two elite recruits in the purple and gold. Still, Friday nights provide at least a teaser for what the future of LSU football has to look forward to.
