There is no facility in college football quite like that of Death Valley in Baton Rouge, LA. It’s a sentiment shared by many, and one that will likely stand true until the end of time. Now, as we prepare to celebrate 100 years of the iconic venue, LSU football has officially announced new upgrades that will come to Tiger Stadium in 2024.
Upgrades are coming to LSU football and Tiger Stadium in 2024
In the 99 years since Tiger Stadium was first introduced, it has widely been known as one of the most intimidating venues in all of college sports. It’s for good reason as well. LSU football has played over 600 games in it and has come out on top 450 times.
In honor of the upcoming 100-year anniversary of the iconic Louisiana Colosseum, LSU athletics announced a celebration in 2024, including festivities such as events and storytelling initiatives throughout the forthcoming season.
Additionally, several new upgrades will be coming its way, featuring a new video board and lighting system to enhance what is already one of the greatest game day fan experiences in college football.
Throughout the 2024 season, there will also be several nationally relevant matchups, including games against UCLA, Oklahoma, Alabama and Ole Miss, among others.
The last opportunity to see the current version of Tiger Stadium in full force is this weekend, as LSU football will take on Texas A&M in the final SEC battle of the regular season. The game starts around 11:00 a.m. CST and will be broadcast live on ESPN.
