Game day has officially arrived, and that means it’s time to get 2024 started with a battle between LSU and Wisconsin. In preparation for the matchup, the Tigers have officially released their ReliaQuest Bowl uniform combination.

Look good, play even better. It’s a tradition like no other and it often leads programs to save their best uniforms for the biggest games. While LSU has mostly stuck to a similar theme throughout this year, they’ve changed things up a bit throughout the year and will now do so yet again for their matchup vs. Wisconsin.
Today, the Tigers will make their appearance in Tampa, FL, wearing a 2024 ReliaQuest Bowl uniform combination of gold, purple and gold.
Notably, while this isn’t the rarest combination we’ve seen out of the Tigers, it has been quite some time since we last saw it on the football field in a bowl game.
According to @LSUUnis on Twitter, the Tigers haven’t broken out these uniforms in a bowl game since they played Georgia Tech in 2000. The two teams faced off in the Peach Bowl at the time, with LSU coming out on top by a score of 28-14.
How to watch, betting odds
With just hours remaining until kickoff, the purple and gold continue to be the heavy favorite heading into game time. After starting out a bit over a double-digit favorite, the spread has dropped to LSU -8.5, according to Vegas Insider, showing that the Tigers are expected to come away with a bit over a touchdown victory.
Furthermore, a higher offensive output is expected, with an over/under of 56.5. This is a slightly lower total than we’ve grown used to seeing for the Tigers, but this is likely due to the unknown of Garrett Nussmeier as a starter, as well as Wisconsin’s ability to slow the game down.
This is the fifth all-time meeting between these two programs. Historically, the Tigers have come out on top as they lead the series 3-1. Still, in the most recent edition of the matchup, the Badgers found a way to pull off a victory, beating former coach Ed Orgeron’s squad 16-14 in Lambeau Field, Green Bay, WI.
LSU will face off against Wisconsin in the 2024 ReliaQuest Bowl today, New Year’s Day. The matchup will take place in Tampa, FL, and will be broadcast live at 11:00 a.m. CST on ESPN2.
