It’s becoming more and more clear that the college football offseason simply does not exist in today’s era of the sport. On Tuesday, yet another big-time class of 2025 recruit, five-star wide receiver Jaime Ffrench locked in an upcoming visit with coach Brian Kelly and LSU.

Five-star wide receiver Jaime Ffrench to take trip over to Baton Rouge in coming weeks

It’s going to be a busy March for coach Brian Kelly and the Tigers. Not only is spring practice just a matter of days away, but the visit schedule is about as star studded as it gets.

Heading into the week, there were already several notable class of 2025 recruits set to make their way to Baton Rouge. In the coming months, the purple and gold will host five-star cornerback DJ Pickett, four-star cornerback Chris Ewald, four-star wide receiver Kaliq Lockett, and most recently, five-star wide receiver Jaime Ffrench.

On Tuesday, the 6-foot-1, 185-pound pass catcher announced four upcoming spring visits, which include LSU on March 9, Ohio State on March 30, Texas on April 6 and Tennessee on April 8.

It’s still relatively early in the 2025 recruiting cycle, but there’s little doubt Ffrench belongs with the very top of the group. Even since his freshman year in 2021, the Mandarin High School standout has been making plays all over the field.

Through three seasons of varsity football, the five-star wide receiver has amassed 114 receptions for 2,034 yards and 21 touchdowns.

Ranking as the No. 12 player nationally, according to the 247Sports Composite, as well as No. 3 among wide receivers, he’s a name that has received plenty of attention over the last few years.

While Ffrench doesn’t necessarily possess the elite speed of some other pass catchers in the cycle, his route running and on-field IQ makes him an immediate threat regardless of where he lines up. Additionally, being a three-sport athlete (football, basketball, track and field), he’s more than serviceable physically and can compete with just about anyone lined up opposite of him.

A former Alabama commitment, the Jacksonville, FL, product has quite the list of offers. Among the top schools to watch early on include Florida State, Ohio State, Texas, and likely still the Crimson Tide ahead of his upcoming spring visit schedule.
